New Beginnings... Again

Hello and welcome to my new place on the Web.  As many of you know, I used to blog on our companies Community Server blog site.  It was enjoyable at first and then the pain of simply creating new entries was just too many steps and I got fairly burnt out on the whole thing.  Lately the craze of Blog Sites has been huge and hard to ignore, but places like MySpace, which I did create a site on, seemed just too geared towards teenagers and young adults.  I have also been watching the progress Microsoft has been making with their “Live” services for quite some time and even have created a couple play sites on Office Live.  Add to that the fact the KnowledgeLake is a Microsoft Gold Partner and it just seemed to make complete sense to make a fresh start with Live Spaces.

This time is going to be different.  Why?  Several reasons, the first being that this time I’m actually making it part of a routine rather than when I feel like it.  My goal is to blog daily, but reality will be about five days a week.  The technology is another reason, as Live Spaces is so much more fun that community server.  It’s easy to add photos, which was a major hindrance to my old platform.  Perhaps the biggest reason is the subject matter.  I won’t just be blogging about KnowledgeLake and ECM, but just about anything that happens in my life.  I figured why not just go ahead and cram everything in my life into one space, so that what I have done.  Categories will keep my business network from seeing my vacation slide show and vice versa, but if it doesn’t work I’ll lose the family tree and concentrate on business.

If you made it this far I figure you’re interested enough to know who I am.  I am the CTO at KnowledgeLake, which at a small software company puts you right in the middle of software development.   This is true, however I no longer write code and have built an awesome team that takes care of the actual coding these days.  Our company builds software the turns SharePoint into a highly scalable Document Imaging system, and with the upcoming release of Office SharePoint Server 2007, we are getting ready to release our 2007 version that will compete with anyone on the Windows Platform.

If you’d like more information on KnowledgeLake just surf on over to our web site at http://www.knowledgelake.com, or drop me and Email and I’ll get you in touch with the right folks.

Alright, that’s it for now.  I hope you enjoy my space here, I always welcome comments or suggestions, or if you are interested in business networking in the ECM space, please feel send me some feedback.
